A brilliant site for searching the fate of any ancestors killed in WW1 or WW2 both soldiers and civilians. Not my gem though found via this message board the other day. www(.)cwgc(.)org - remove bracketts!

Never done this in my life before so hope it turns out OK. I am so impressed with all this exchange of useful sites - what a community! www.vs.gov.bc.ca/genealogy/index(.)html for British Columbia immigrants. www.lancslist(.)com/forums/ is a certificate repository and also for census requests and other look-ups. Hope that these are of use.

Hi, Vicky, I am sorry to tell you but i tried to find your Bona family at Gay lane in Otley in both the 1861 and1871 census records held at Leeds Central Library but I could not find any family of this name or any Devine's either at Gay Lane. If you have any other addresses or any other info let me know and I will look them up for you next time I go. George Evans
