i have just received a death certificate for a 4 month old baby and i cant read the cause of death.I last letters of the word are --nanition but i cant think what it could be.I was wondering if anyone could help me maybe work out what it is!! The first letter looks like either a J T or S and the second one could be a O A or an I.Thanks in advance Anna

I've had one that showed 'consumption' that took me ages to work out! Could this be it? Steph

Hi Anna, Have found Inanition - Exhaustion from lack of nourishment:- starvation. Try this site http://pearlspad(.)tripod(.)com/Medical(.)htm for old medical terms. Yvonne
