Hi Penny, Could you do a look up for my very elusive GG Grandmother Charlotte Jones nee Crawley, married in 1832 to Thomas Jones in Flore or Floore, Northamptonshire, both "of the parish", and died there in 1847 aged 39. I can find no record of her birth- there were no Crawleys in Flore that I can find, and the Crawleys of Nether Heyford have no record of a Charlotte born 1807/8, tho' apparently 1808 page of Parish Records was damaged. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, Di.

Marion

Marion Report 4 Oct 2003 22:36

Chard is in Somerset. As for Mary Ann Harris ~ not really sure about her, but she was born somewhere in Devon . Thankyou anyway, kind of you to look. Marion

Penelope Report 4 Oct 2003 22:17

Hi Marian No records of marriages I'm sorry, but if Chard is in Dorset, got a coule of births for Mary Ann Harris Christened 19 Oct 1819 at Fordington, Dorset. Father Thomas mother Mary Ann Christened 25 Dec 1820 at Yetminster Dorset. Father Joseph mother Elizabeth. Couldn't find any other details that might fit - not even the children's births! Penny

Marion Report 4 Oct 2003 21:55

May I also ask for a VR search (if you haven't lost patience by now) for a marriage in Chaffcombe or Chard c.1806 for James Hawker b. 1780 and Mary? b. Chaffcombe 1780. Also John Hawker b.Chard 1815 and Mary Ann Harris b. 1817. Devon. There is a marriage on IGI 12/5/1837 in London but not sure this is the right one. They were living in Chelsea when first children Mary Ann, William, Henry and John were born. Marion

Helen Report 4 Oct 2003 19:52

Can I please ask for a VRI lookup, as you've got the latest edition and mine's only the old version? I'm looking for the marriage of Albert Gurney to Susannah Glasscock and any children from the marriage. Son Richard was born 1842 and Albert died the same year. Can't find anything on 1837 site so think marriage must have been before then. They were living in London in 1842 but could you do an 'all counties' search please (I'm assuming the search on your CDs works the same way as mine?)

Hi Jeanette Not that much that it's worth paying out for the disk. Of course you might have other names you're interested in. If you email me I'll forward all the records I could find - at least I'll try! Haven't done it before! Penny

Thanks for looking Penny. Thought it might be a tricky one! Is there lots of stuff for the other Locks? If there is it might be worth me sending for the disk myself. Jeanette
