There is a William Ashcroft age 2 on 1901 census b St Helens - not far from Wigan. One of them could be a guess? |

Patricia Just looked on 1837 online. 2 are listed for Wigan. William Ashcroft dec qtr.1898 8c 155 and 8c 162 You may just have to take the plunge. If you specify the date of birth when you order to make sure you get the right one I don't see a problem Margaret |

Have a look on 1837 online, you have the date, look at last quarter 1898 and first quarter 1899 and Wigan. Unless there a lot of others with the same name, you can then send for the birth cert. Margaret |

I have got a death Cert for William Ashcroft that died on it the record states Born on 11th November 1898 Wigan. I cant find this man anywhere, can you ??? |
