British births abroad are included on the GRO index. They are at the end of each quarter or all at the end of the December quarter, I can't remember which. Gwynne

I phoned Southport when I was searching for my mums half sister as we discovered she was born in San Salvador in the 30's They put me though to a different department that dealt with that register. I gave all the information I knew and shortly afterwards a lady kindly phoned me to say she had found my aunt! Its worth a try!
