hi i knew the regiment my great uncle was in (he was killed 1st w.w.) wrote to them, but they said unless he was an officer they did,nt keep names of men killed in 1st w.w. thought this was pretty terrible, can it be true? have since found the names of six offers he was killed with so hopefully they will be able to tell me more now marcie

Patricia Thanks so much for this info! I know what you mean about the brackets - I touch type too - and you look back and realise that you have 9's and 0's where you should have brackets! Why couldn't they have designed the keyboard so that we didn't have to use the shift key?! I'm very grateful for all this WONDERFUL information. Janet
