silly question??

i dont know if im being stupid or thick,but i was wondering if anybody knows how to get info on rellies that died in sanatoriums(spelling?) my nans brother had tb/polio and died in a sanitorium .i was wondering(which is all i do these days)if there was a name index or something for such things. living in hope ...lol susie

There are hospital records, but they are generally closed for 100 years, local record office should be able to help you. Ros

gen the area is peppard common,oxfordshire the year is approx 1939/49 thanx ros just fed up with banging my head against brick walls!!!..lol susie

Hello Susan The death will still be registered in the usual way, so you will be able to get a death certificate. My GG Grandmother died of typhoid in a hospital for infectious diseases in Wales, and her death was registered in Mertyr Tydfil (spelling?) on FreeBMD.

pat/jim/suzanne thanx for your help.i'll start looking now.just got back from cemetary and jotted down info from headstones.so im feeling lucky today..lol thanx again susie
