	The earliest complete census that exists for Ireland, both Nort and South, is 1901. Earlier records were destroyed either by civil action, or for some unknown reason by the British Government around the time of the First World War. Some, and only some extracts survive for some areas, but they are few. I suggest you look at www.proni.nics.gov.uk where you should be able find what does exist, and what is being used as "Census Substitutes" Paul
