Thanks-it was a british ship going to the states.I thought that would be the case but then again,it could be wishful thinking on my part to make my job a bit easier!!!

Hi There I could be wrong, but I think it depends on where the ship is registered. If it was a US ship it would be the US, if it was a British ship then the UK. Regards Maxine

Hello all, Need some help again!! If someone died on board a ship whilst emigrating to America,where would his death records be held-here or there! Thanks Sinead.
