I use Cumberland Family Tree, very easy to use, and produces some lovely reports, trees and charts.

I use Generations. It hasn't got the US bias like some have. Margaret

If you want a freebie you can try Brothers Keeper. You can download from internet. You can create gedcom files with it , so easy to export to another package, or import from another gedcom file.

Hello. For my money Family Tree Maker can't be beaten. It does everything you could want and in a very simple user friendly way. Good luck. Keith

I think this means that if you find one you like you get used to it and any other seems strange. I find it difficult to get round any other than Generations Margaret

Hi Annie, I bought Family Tree Maker when I first started, found it very good & easy to use. After a while I downloaded Legacy free, and later paid for the upgrade. Each has it's own draw backs, and good points. Debbie
