Thanks Sian, Yes, I think the one in Forden is a distinct possibility. If you could look up the family for me I will be very gratefully and sorry to put you to so much trouble. Thanks again, Allie.

Hi Paul I had thought of UKBDM as a possible place to put the details on, and will probably do that but as most of these parish records are pre 1837 they are not actual certificates, just photocopies of entries. I don't mind photocopying the parish record if someone's family member is shown on the same record as mine. Would I select certificate available though??? Sian

Hi Allie No Thomas Lewis listed in Worthen itself. However in the Montgomery surnmae index, in which Worthen falls, (there are four areas: Montgomery, Machynllech, Newtown and Llanfyllin) there are a few possibilities, possibly the Forden entry??? LEWIS, Thomas, s, u, 15, scholar, MGY Forden, Mount Pleasant, /f460/p13 LEWIS, Thomas, s, u, 19, ag lab, SAL Churchstoke, Forden, /f437/p1 LEWIS, T., sv, u, 15, at home, MGY Guilsfield, Vrockes, /f776/p8 LEWIS, Thomas, app, u, 16, shoemaker (app), MGY Cas Caereinion, Castle Village, /f788/p1 Let me know if you think any of these are yours and i'll look aup their family. Hi Sian, Thanks for the offer. I would love to know any info on a Thomas Lewis. He would have been about 18 in 1851. He was born in Worthen and from all the other census records I have looked at he was living in Pennerley. Any help is gratefully received. Allie.

Hi William Yes the 1851 Montgomeryshire Census covers Guilsfield and Welshpool. I'm not sure about PoolQuay though as the entries are searchable via parish and although the former two are listed, Pool Quay isn't. Is it in a particular parish. I'm from Glamorgan and not familiar with Powys so much. Do you need a lookup? Regards Sian

I have a number of parish record entries for pre and post 1837 baptism and marriages. I'm not able to go to the record office myself, a contact who has the same line as me sends them on when she gets them. On the marriage entries for pre 1837, there is always another entry for a different family on the same page, and the baptims even more. It woulld nice to be able to provide these details to researchers who may be looking into those families, such as putting them online, but I don't really want people emailing me thinking it's my tree or thinking I have more info as I obviously dont have any more detials. I don't mind typing the details into a searchable database but does one exist that I could just out the entries in and thats it??? It would be useful to have an 'on the same page as my entries' website for such finds. Sian
