Records for marriage at Paris Consulate

My grandparents were married at the British Consulate in Paris in 1924/5. Where would those records be? I have checked the marriages at the frc and can't find it.

Teresa It would be worth calling the FRC in Southport to see if they can help you. It is certainly the case now that marriages involving British Citizens overseas should, if registered with the Consul, be included in annual return to the General Register Office. Whether that was the case in 1924/25, though, I am not too sure. If I remember correctly from when I married overseas, the register entries are in the Miscellaneous Indexes rather than in the normal BMD Indexes. David
