Help!! Does anybody know where I can find out where I can find out where Himbourne is please,I think it may be in Somerset but I can't seem to locate it .!!Thanks,Sinead

Have you tried google. Have you tried spelling it without the `u`

Sinead Try this site for 'old' place names. I keep it in my favourites. w w w . a b c o u n t i e s . c o . u k / n e w g a z / i n d e x . h t m l Just click on gazetteer. The 'search' is really good and lets you use * wildcards.

I always try looking under the districts on FREEBMD ive found quite a few places and explanations that way!

Thanks all,Yes it probably is Wimbourne,thinking abotu it especislly as Dorset ties in with the info I already have.many thanks to all of you Sinead
