Haven`t seen anything anywhere. Probably just a case of looking now and then to check.

Hi, I get the freereg mailing list and yesterday i had this sent, well part of the mail.I have copied and pasted part of it. I hope it is ok doing this........ The search engine is done, ........has data for testing, next is when time permits by programmers who know Java to make the whole thing *live* This is our problem as I see it, it was done in Java rather that *Perl* as was FreeCEN No I am not getting at any one But having said all that, we need a lot more data in readiness, I get stuff on a weekly basis from various sources, and promise of more to come, so it IS going to work, eventually Cheers Dave

Ann Freereg is attempting to provide access to Church Parish Registers - i.e., pre-1837 - which would be fantastic, but what a task discyphering all that ancient handwriting!! I was hoping to join transcribers for FreeBMD but have been unable to access the site for a few days now. I wonder when the problem will be fixed!! Kathy
