Please can anyone help. I am trying to trace the marriage of my great grandparents Edward Jones and Hannah Jenkins. Their son Isaac Jones was born in Abercarn Wales in 1865, this is all I have to go on. I have searched back to 1855 in the Records Office with no luck. With a name like Jones it is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Any suggestions where I go from here?

If it were me, I would check out all the Hannah Jenkins first. If you find one in the right area, then check the Jones list, but I expect you have already done that. Have you tried going forward from sons birth a year or so, it does happen.

No help to you at the present moment in time, but keep a look out on the FreeBMD site, which is updated monthly. We found 2 marriages there which we had spent a long time looking for in the record offices.
