Spent a pleasant afternoon searching and found several bits of info, jotted down all relevent page numbers etc. As I live in NZ and unable to get to the registry office is there anyway that I can check out that the details are correct before I order a certificate. The districts are Newcastle and Alnwick. I also find in some sites that Northumberland is not listed any reaon for that. I do enjoy reading this page and have found some very helpful info seeing as I am just starting out. Anne-Marie

Hi Claire, Thanks for your offer. I do not go quite that far back for marriages as yet. Mostly I am looking for Newcastle and Alnwick areas. Anne-Marie
