Thanks Stan, I have that info, the couple moved to America a few years after they were married. If it is iron furnaces or the like, which I thought too, how could that be their address?

Hi, Morfydd Ruth was right, the son-in-law's name was Giles. I have found: Marriages Jul-Sep 1884: Bertha Louisa Dyer and George Albert Giles, Westbury S., 6a 418. Births Oct-Dec 1877: Ernest Henry Dyer, Westbury S., 6a 255. Westbury S. is the Registration District of Westbury upon Severn. The furnaces were probably iron making furnaces. Regards Stan

Thanks everyone for all your help. Ruth I will email you, so you can send me the image. Now I'll have to find out what the furnaces were, if anyone has any idea, again I will be very grateful. Thanks again everyone. M.

Hi, Morfydd The address isn't very useful, but here is the entry you want: East Dene- Furnaces: William Dyer, Head, 61, Carpenter, b. Purton, Wilts; Hannah Dyer, Wife, 62, b. Dauntsey, Wilts; Simeon Dyer, Son, 20, Coal miner, b. Cinderford, Glos; Ernest Dyer, Grandson, 13, Scholar, b. Westbury on Severn, Glos; George A Eeles, Son in Law, 26, Coal miner, b. Cindeford, Glos; Bertha L Eeles, Wife, 25, b. Cinderford, Glos; Lilly Eeles, Daur, 5, Scholar, b. Cinderford, Glos. They are all one household, so presumably Bertha is William's daughter, and Lilly is William's granddaughter. I hope this proves to be the right information. Best wishes Stan

The only William and Hannah combination I've found so far were aged 49 and 50 respectively, and living in Clifton with their nine daughters. If you think they might be the ones, let me know and I'll give you more details. Jan.

Yes Ruth, William and Hannah would have been 60 ish and Ernest 12 or 13. There was a daughter there too, Bertha Louisa, and a granddaughter, I think, Lily. Hope that is helpful.

Thanks for looking Stan. It's going to be Cinderford or Flaxley, which are in Forest of Dean. Would something show up in Westbury on Severn? M.

Had a quick look on Ancestry. None of these names listed for Cinderford. Sorry. Stan

Can anyone help me please. In 1891 census William, Hannah, Ernest Dyer and a few others, lived in Cinderford, Gloucestershire. Could someone please find out the address they were living at please. Very grateful, M.
