You kindly looked for Ann Raikes for me on the 1851 Census & gave me a lead in finding an Ann Reakes of the right age living in Evercreech but born in Pilton ( she had always appeared as born in Evercreech). Her mother was a widow so I looked for a death of her father. I found it & on his death certificate it says " George Raikes ALIAS Reakes". From that & the Parish records I was able to find Ann. Without that lead I would still be searching & wondering. Thank you both very much. Pat
