Elaine I subscibe to Ancestry and think it's well worth the subscription. I do look ups for people as well, so it's not just me who benefits. Why don't you try the offer, keep all correspondance from them, then cancel. Lynda

Hi Elaine, I took up the free 14 day trial and was impressed with the content of the site. I used it mostly for its 1891 census. (These are the original enumerator pages scanned in) but it is searchable like the 1881 by name. I searched for all of my relatives within the 14 day period printing all the pages out. If money were no object I would subscibe and do recommend the site.As it was I reluctantly cancelled after about 10 days and am pleased to say I wasnt charged. (I kept copies of all emails re this though just in case) I must admit I wish access now as there often is something I 'would just like to have a look at' Hope this helps. Penny

Im interested in taking up their free trial. However as money is short, is Ancestry worth the money to a reletivly newbie like me? What can I find out via Ancestry For the uk that I cant get free from free bmd or lds site? I'd welcome your comments. Elaine
