I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to help me solve a mystery My Great Great Grandmother was called Sarah Ward, she is shown on the census in 1881 as living in Eastbourne however she is also shown as having been born C1856 in Gilhorn?? Cambridge(shire) The only other info I can find about her is that her brother was called Abraham and lived in London and her Father was Thomas Ward and he was a farmer. If anyone could tell me what she was up to on the 1871 or 1861 census or any details on where she was born I would be obliged. Thanks Anna PS I cannot find a place called Gilhorn anywhere, so it may have been mis spelt!

There's a place called Guyhirn in Cambridgeshire, so perhaps it's a mis-spelling of that place. Could not find her on the 1881 census based on your information.
