I agree with Carol,My Great grand father had the middle name Stafford (his mums maiden name) but he is down on everything else as just plain Henry Macbeth. |

Hi Siobhan, Ditto Carol, Yep, me too. I have one particular chap, baptized John Joseph Stephenson, always known as John or JJ, but his birth cert and marr cert only have Joseph. He also lied about his age when he married! Caused me a brickwall for nearly a year!!! Debbie |

In my experience, middle names and first names can be omitted, added or interchanged at will. They didn`t make it easy for us. |

If a mother has a middle name, is it possible it would be missed off a birth certificate. But the fathers isn't My great grandmother was Irene Littlejohns, she would of been born around 1900 +/_ about 10 years. There is only one I can find and that is Irene Aida Littlejohns. |
