My maternal gandmother was 94 when she died in 1992 and one of my great grandmothers was nearly 91 when she died in 1969, but most only live into their seventies with the men tending to die younger. Ros |

My Great Aunt Daisy (my maternal Grandfather's sister)was 101 when she died on my birthday in 2000. She always said she would live long enough to get her telegram from the Queen! Another Great Aunt (my maternal Grandmother's sister) lived to be 100. My husband's GG Grandmother was 93 when she died in 1929. My Mother-in-Law will be 87 in December and you'd think she was in her early 70s. A fantastic lady and I love her to bits! You should see her riding her G Grandaughter's scooter up and down the garden path and we daren't take her to the park - she loves swings and slides! Sue |

Can't bet Jan's but my husbands Nan was born April 1899 and dies May 1995. Have some great photo's on her last birthday, but she had a fall a few days later and lost confidence in herself and died a couple of weeks late, my husband kept telling her she had to wait, as we needed the queens telegram to go in the family gen notes, but she wouldn't listen!!! lol. Still miss her. Kim |

I had a great uncle who died just short of his 99th birthday.He was born 1884,moved to Canada in 1901 and died there aged 88 in 1982! got a few 80yrs + too Anna |

My great aunt Laura died aged 103. I have a photo of her aged 99 with my son then aged 3, playing croquet on the lawn. We also taught her to play tabletennis on that occasion, but we had to remove the net because it kept getting in her way. Jan. |

It's not proved as such but my aunty said that my great great grandmother was 90 when she died in the 1930's. I have a photo of her (not sure when it was taken but she looks pretty old on that). Mel |

so far my longest living relly is my grt grandad ,he was born in 1875 and died in 1962. that made him 87.(if my sums are right??) susie |

Who is your longest lived - proved - relly?? One of my grt grandfathers was born 24 Jan 1863 and died 3 Feb 1955 - 92. Hope I've got his genes!! Maz. XX |
