Also, I have just been going through the census for Sunderland, and twice so far I have come across "No one home" Sorry guys, didn't think to take note of the addresses Kim

Margaret, The same policy of anonymity is here today. At our Trust Board Meetings all references to any of our Service Users mentioned in the minutes and reports are only identified by their initials. Jim

I have been looking through the Asylum records for York on the 1891 census, the actual images. All of the inmates were listed just by their initials, no surnames at all. The occupations were there and ages and places of birth, just no proper names. It occured to me that if this was the case in other institutions, then that is perhaps why sometimes we can't find our missing relatives. Margaret
