There is a lot of info about Thames Watermen and Lightermen - try http://members(.)aol(.)com/rcjindex Otherwise try the London Metropolitan Archives - I'm sure they would be able to point you in the right direction. Does anyone know anything about the Bargemen who used to work on the Thames? Did their job have a particular name? Thanks, Helen
