Since the introduction of the new Records Office board, the purpose of what these boards were set up for seems to have become lost. Record Office board has become Tips Board 2 and Trying to find board. Is it too much to ask that requests for help are put on the correct boards, else what is the point of having different ones?

Perhaps it would help if GC were to specify what the different boards are intended for. Maybe there ought to be a look up requests one too. Jan.

Jan I think they have really, it says on the Record Office board that it is to ask for and to give help to others on look ups etc. I have asked GC to clarify the situation, as yet no reply, I just think that the tips board and the record office board are one and the same now. Margaret

Ive given up looking at the boards now as they all seem to be the same and ive lost track of what ive posted to and where.

I think judging by the amount of look ups people offer to do and people ask for, there should be a separate board just for that. The tips board should be an advice board. The records board should be just for people who are going to record offices being able to offer their help or people asking if anyone going to a specific record office can help them.
