Wonder if anyone can give me some advice on how I might go about trying to track down a photo of my husband's grandfather ? His grandfather Herbert Coussens was a Train driver for over 45 years for Hastings Railway. He drove both Steam and Diesel trains and retired mid 1960s. He used to drive trains from Hastings to London and also Hastings to Kent. Unfortunately, we cannot locate any photos of him driving or on location with trains. It seems a shame that we haven't got a photo of Bert to show his great grandchildren! Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Sally, Perhaps it would be an idea to contact Hastings Railway station and ask them. They would be able to tell you what network they are and you could then contact the network, and I'm sure they would be able to help in some way. Hope you are lucky Lynda

Hello Sally, Don't know if the National Railway Museum would be any help? The addy is www.nrm.org.uk - Linda.

Thank you Lynda and Linda for your suggestions. I will try both of them. I may write to the local paper too just in case any of his colleagues who are still alive may have some old photos. Also Local history Society. I'm sure if I dig around hard enough I will find something!
