Hello I have found a site about Eastwood Colliery Nottinghamshire http://ourworld(.)compuserve(.)com/homepages/nigel_h/pit.htm Try putting Collieries in ask Jeeves or Carter, or Nottingham Collieries, not just Jeeves,but Lycos, or any search engine Good Luck Joan

Does anybody know of any colleries that were owned by the Carter Family, within the Nottinghamshire area? If not, any websites where I can find information about looking for colleries. I keep looking but am having no luck. Any help would greatly be appreciated? Thanks Amie P.S. I've tried the National Coaling Museum but no luck.
