Can anyone tell me if the co dot uk part of Ancestry is really for the UK? Whenever I went on the Ancestry site before, it all seemed to be for America - which is no use to me. Also - is it just the 1891 census that they have, or are there others? If you take out a 3 month or a year subscription - do they have the same capabilities or can you access more info with a year subscription? I have checked the answers to the "is it worth it?" thread, and I am now tempted to take out a subscription, but I would like to know what I am getting first so I can work out if it will help. All help appreciated. |

You need to register with Ancestry.[co].[uk]. It's geared to Uk research. You have access to th 1891 census but also BDM up to about 1905. I've taken out a years subscription and found it worthwhile.I've also found ancestors on Pallets register in the 1700's. I'd recommend it. Anne |

Go for the trial first, then you'll have a better idea. Personally, I had found out all the information I could within ten days. |
