James Amos wasn't married at the time of the 1901 census. He is living with his mother and brothers Margaret

go to www(.)census(.)pro(.)gov(.)uk (Remove the brackets) It will cost you a little bit but the search is free. Find the person above and then when you have him click his name. Follow the instructions. It costs £5 to gain access, +50p to view the persons full details +50p to see their whole household +75p if you want to see the actual census page. Hope this helps.

OK I admit someone checked the census for me. How do I go about doing the above? Very new to this.

Hi James Have you viewed the census image to see if there are any children living with him or if there is a wife. You could obtain a birth cert for one of the children if you know who they are. This will give the fathers name and mothers maiden name and you can work back from there. Jeanette

I have checked the 1901 census. There is an Amos Watson age 20 born in Newhall, Derbyshire. The best way i can confirm who the above person is, is to find out the names of his kids. But how do I go about doing that? Any advice would be great? Thanks James
