I am researching boxing in the Central Manchester area in the 1920s and 1930s. Anyone have any tips on where to start.

Hi there, One of the best venues for boxing in Manchester was Ardwick Lads Club. If you go to the following web page you will find a couple of photos of it. www(.)angelfire(.)com/journal/carjockey/fitness(.)html also go onto Manchester Central Library web page. you may find some books on the subject that can be borrowed at a library near you. Hi James, Ardwick Lads Club was affiliated to Greater Manchester Federation of Boys Clubs now known as Greater Manchester Federation of Clubs for Young People. I'm sure they will have some information for you. Think the person you need to speak to is James Kelly. Telephone 0161 477 7735 website www(dot)gmfcyp(dot)org(dot)uk Cathy
