many thanks, Its on the 1837, but, there is no brides name so I'll have to try something else maybe he was military never mind I'll figure it somehow thanks again. Sue

The local BMD sites show the spouse without ordering the cert. But they are not complete . I looked on Lancs BMD and there is no J Bromley there for 1910-1912 yet. The certs are best but it gets expensive!

Hi, Apply to the ONS or the local registrar for the marriage certificate which will give her name and her father's name and possibly addresses. If you know which church they were married in you could look through the parish records but the fastest way is to buy the cert. Gwynne

I have found a John W Bromley who married in Bolton 1911 in the third quarter how do I go about finding out who he married, Tips please. Thanks Sue
