I have tried and failed to remove an unmaried child from my tree. I have followed the directions in FAQ, but I just get returned to to the home page and when I go back to my tree the child is still there. Someone please help me as my tree is full of unwanted kids.

If the person has any kids, you have to delete them first.

Hi, I had the same problem. You follow the instructions, click on delete and nothing happens. So I clicked on "contact us" (it's near the bottom of the options bar on the left of the screen) and asked GC what to do. They gave me a few suggestions which didn't work. When I sent an email back saying nope not working they said send us the details of who is in the wrong place and we'll delete them for you. It did mean that they had to delete a few other people who were in the right place but unless your tree is small then this is the best option. It only took me about 10 minutes to put it right after that. If your tree is very small then you may be better off deleting the whole thing and starting again. I had about 170 people in my tree by this point so starting again did not appeal. You can contact me direct if I can be any more help.

Just had a look, Lesley has 210 people in her tree, so I don't think she's going to be too keen to delete everything and start again !

I had this problem which I got around by clicking on 'Your Names' ( The list to the left ) Then 'View Names' then 'Edit' This worked for me so should save you deleting too much..........Pam
