Hi all, could I please ask for some suggestions? My great grandmother was a Buckley from Ireland and according to the 1901 census, she had a brother called Natsy. Apart from Nathan and Nathaniel (which are not particularly irish!) are there any other names that anyone can think of that this nickname may derive from? I would be most grateful for any suggestions as I am at another brick wall!! Many thanks,Sinead |

Sinead, is it possible do you think that there was a mistake made when the census was transcribed and the name was actually Patsy? I know a fella from the Emerald Isle known as Patsy, although his name is probably Patrick. Charles. |
