The national archivist site has Births , Marriages and Deaths at sea from 1854 - 1890. www(.) nationalarchivist(.)com. It has a free search facility but it is pay to view. Contrary to what some have said on this site, what you see are NOT transcriptions - you see the actual scanned images. Very good site if the person you are seeking died during the coverage period. Failing that I think your only option is Kew. I am searching for a death at sea and am trying to work out how I can get down to London cheaply! Jill. Oswestry Shropshire
