After 12 years of stone walling I had come to the conclusion that my birth mother was dead. The advent of Genes Connected and my aquiring a steam driven computer prompted me to look again. I found Joan Allen on the myfolks website, posted a notice, the following day I had a reply from Joan, I phoned through some details and 20 minutes later Joan phoned back to say she had found my birth mother. More or less whilst we spoke on the phone she found 3 sisters 2 of whom I never knew existed and a web site address with school photos of one of them. I am now waiting for a contact, but am deeply indepted to Joan and wish her every success..... and Joan have a great holiday in Australia David Bland (formerly Paul Bradley) |
