Thanks Darren. I will give that site a try. I am very interested in tracing living relatives although I have not yet had the courage to contact any of them.

Hi, I must be doing something wrong. I can access this site but then how do I find the electoral rolls. Where are they listed. The only mention of them I could find also mentioned a fee of 4.50. Help!! Di.

Deirdre & Diana I too followed the link and took me straight to the site no problem, I put in the name I was searching for and it came up in all the department it was found in electrol roll and telephone directory. By clicking on the name could get address of the person too. Enter the name in the boxes on left hand side and the area then click search. I must point out that after doing several searches I had to register with them, i kept expecting them to say about a charge but it never came. The only downside is I received my first junk mail from them today - I registered late last night

Thanks darren, What a find, saves on the legwork to visit libraries. The only problem is that now you can opt to not have your name made public. Oh those elusive relatives!! I've found the husband on the electoral roll, but not the wife. Can anyone explain?? Sue

I'm not sure how good this site is. I have the 2003 electoral roll on disk ( limited to 30 search results). The B4U site doesn't find my brother on the ER but the disk does. Bob
