1901 errors

After reading Donna's thread, just to remind that there is a error report page on the 1901 for incorrect transcriptions, (not incorrect entries). (It also shows a list of corrections made). Use it please, some other relative might be having the same trouble as you! Bob

The problem with reporting errors though is that you have to give all the folio/page details etc which you can't do without paying to view the page. If the mistake is in the index and you haven't viewed the page, then there isn't a way of reporting the error.

And even if you do supply all the details they still do little about it. I reported five separate errors and non have been altered. Before you say it takes time, I did this in January!!! So frustrating when you have spent a fortune before finding the error!

Oooh my abject apologies! I have just been and checked, and the errors I reported have been noted on the latest update back in September! Pat on the back for 1901, even if it did take nine months to sort it!
