I have a cert where, on both fathers, it just says "dead", no names and not even deceased! Kim

Some certificates show the fathers name and occupation but don't say deceased, even when they have been dead a while. I have some showing this and I also have the death cert for the father. It seems to depend on who completed the register. Brenda

My marriage certificate has my father-in-laws name and occupation on it with deceased after the details even though I never actually met him (he died before I met my husband). Kay

If the father(s) of the couple getting married are deceased, do their names still go on the marriage cert.? John R
