I have seen this site mentioned a number of times. How do you search electoral rolls on it? Georgina |

Georgina This site is a commercial thing. It is not really the electoral roll. Having done a number of searches I have found that I am on it - with address which has the wrong postcode and telephone number which is also wrong. No other members of my family are listed - but they were all on the electoral rolls. Personally, I am annoyed that this has published my details, even incorrectly. I am ex-directory and my telephone number should not be made available in this manner. In my opinion the site is of little value unless you want to use it commercially. You certainly could not rely on the information being correct. Kathleen |

I have searched for people that I know have moved but they are still listed at old addresses - some as much as 2 years after they have moved and by which time electoral forms would have been completed at the new address. Jacky |

Have taken a look at this site, and I can assure you it doesn't come from the electoral roll - it comes from the telephone directory. How do I know? Because I'm there, and the address shown is the one shown in the telephone directory and NOT my actual address! We converted two cottages into one - use one of the numbers - but the telephone had originally been installed in the other cottage - and we left the telephone directory entry as it was! Also, although I'm there, my husband is not, and he's lived here for 35 years! That's because the entry in the telephone directory is in MY name! So all the information is in the public domain anyway, isn't it? Hope this helps Janet |

If that is so, how come my name appears in full on this site? I don't have an entry in the telephone directory. |

Bizarre site, this one. I used the info available, to phone a possible rellie in Hornchurch, but instead I obtained a lovely chatty lady in Hastings, who acknowledged the number I had dialed was correct. Weird! lol, Derek |

Jill They must have several different sources, then. I have no doubt that MY entry originated from the Telephone Directory, as it's the only place that particular address is used. Makes you wonder about the Data Protection Act, doesn't it? Janet |
