The original register office closed in 1965 and the registers were moved to Sutton, Carshalton, Croydon, Merton, or Kingston. May give you an idea of area covered. |

The district is Surrey Mid Eastern. If you go to FreeBMD and highlight the district and enter a common surname (I did Smith) it will come up with a Surrey Mid Eastern entry which you can click on to find out about the areas covered. There are quite a lot which is why I'm not listing them!! |

Hi I think I have found my grandfather, Edward Chapman, on the death register for July - Sept 1946. The district is 'Surrey Mid. L.' - does anybody know what area this district covered? Thanks in advance, Karen |
