Vanessa, be careful not to assume that they are working ok, cause like Ann I find if the emoticons etc are not showing then thats when the blanks are sent, did a refresh once, and that brought the emoticons etc up, but not had the problem again since to retest that strategy. Poor you Theresa, have to show him this site, to prove you are not alone (in more sense than one) lol Val

Hi Yes the richmail editor is the means by which you can change the colour, text style, emoticons etc. I have found since they changed hotmail format it does not always appear properly. that is when it sends out blanks. Ann

Have just sent an e mail, as mentioned before when firing blanks don't get the facilitles to change fonts etc & send emoticons, is that what you mean by rich mail editor? Anyway, I did a refresh and it came up with all those things, so hopefully that means i got to send an e-mail with text. Val PS I haven't even tried to do a personal signature

I have also been sending out blanks. It seems to be something wrong with the rich mail editor. The richmail bar will not come up and all there is is the gobbledy gook that are the instructions for the text, signature etc. I have to turn off the rich text editor, in tools, to send a message when this is happening. Hope this makes sense.

The old hot mail you were able to print out things with pressing printer friendly so you didn't get all the colour and adverts, I havn't been able to do this with the new hot mail. any idea's? Sue...........

I think Lindy has hit the nail on the head, my problem also occured whilst i had my personal sigature at the bottom. Having deleted it I'm now having no problems ( bet I've spoken too soon) Shelli

My brief interlude re sending normal e-mails, has come to an end again. Only lasted half a day!! Firing blanks again Val

I am in the States and experienced similar problems last week. So far this week has been OK.

I use both Hotmail(.).com and Yahoo(.)com - another free e-mail account and I seem to have a lot less hassles with the Yahoo mail.....to boot, Yahoo allows more storage space!

Am having trouble too.. some mail goes blank, at other times can't access it REALLY ANNOYING

Mine has just started playing up....ggggrrrrrr........it could have been like this for ages for all I know, but somebody has only just mentioned it to me! And I remember now I got a blank email a few days ago!!!! So much for the new and improved version....

I've been receiving blank emails, but as far as I know mine have got through okay. I don't know if this is the same elsewhere, but it seems to be large attatchments that are getting lost.

My Hotmail account is getting more Junk Mail of the !!&***!"$ kind since the new skin was put on it. I have noticed an annoying and rather silly mistake by MSN, they have put the Report - Block Junk Mail button in the In Box. Surely this would have been better in the Junk Mail Box where the Filters have directed the rubbish!!! This means to Block or Report Junk you have to move it to the In Box then do the thing from there. At times I notice that when I do use the Block/Report button, I get a warning that I am deleting mail from a sender who is in my Safe List or Contacts List. They most definately are not and when I spoke to MSN about it they said I must be mistaken !!!! So? Anyone else noticed this? Ah Well. just another worry Jim

Just advising, that I seem to be ok again now, but noticed that like Vanessa when the problem occured, I wasn't able to do anything about fonts etc, and there were no emoticons. Now that it's back to normal so are the usual facilities. So that's something to watch out for - no facilities available, and you might have a problem!! Regards to all Val

At least it's nice to hear i'm not alone, it's all happened since the new site updated, although I must have sent some successful ones. A hotmail friend tried to fwd a joke, I got her e-mail but not the joke, so the same thing must have happened there. Val

Hi Valerie, yes I too have encountered the same kind of problems but thought it was with the new layout. And I wish that they would leave the contact lists alone. Just sorted them all out again and they up and changed everything yet again. Anne-Marie

Hi Val, I'm not having any problems either. In fact, I've received a new and improved version this week. It 'arrived' in the middle of sending a mail. I hit send and then I went back to my Inbox, it was the loveley new version. Maybe that's why you're having problems if you haven't had the upgrade yet. Just a thought Kay

Hi Valerie: Just checked my hotmail and it seems to be working fine....Hotmail does sometimes shut down for maintenance and upgrades....perhaps they are doing some maintenance in your area. If you haven't done so lately, you might want to empty your cookie cache and temporary internet files on your hard drive. Your computer saves every page you view on the web in these files....it could be that your computer is "remembering" the page that is giving you problems. Emptying the above files may fix your problem. Try, also, rebooting (turning computer on and off.) Rebooting often will correct a lot of problems if you tend to leave your computer on all the time like I do. Vince

I seem to be having problems with Hotmail lately, my e-mails out are being sent without the text. Wondered if anyone else affected? Also just tried their Contact Us, and that doesn't seem to be working either. Val
