Naomi Walmer Barracks was Royal Marines Deal was opened in 1861 and was responsible for thraining all RM recruits, you can get further information from the National Archives at Kew. You need to look for ADM File 159/113 to 118 which is a register of service for individuals joining between 1866 and 1925. My partner helped here as he is doing his own family histore and is himself an ex Royal who also served at Deal. Angela |

If you want service details, go to the Public Records Office on-line and view the possible docs he may be in. These can be viewed at Kew in London. Billy |

In the 1891 census, my GG Grandfather Henry Millis was 18 and stationed at Royal Marines Depot Barracks and Infirmary, Walmer, Kent. Does anyone know anything about this or where I can find further information? Thanks Naomi |
