Helena, I checked the 1891 census and Frances E Hicken is still in Kidderminster with the Tomkins family. Emma.

Hello Helena Found in the 1881 census a Frances E Hicken widow b 1814 living with her brother George Tomkins at 9 & 10 Lion St, Kidderminster Worcs. This would make Frances Eleanor's maiden name Tomkins. Looked in the LDS and found: Frances Eleanor Tomkins married 9th July 1850 in Kidderminster, Worcs a James Hicken. Does this help Linda

I noticed a death record today on free bmd of Frances Eleanor Hicken. Died 1896 aged 82 in Tenbury (Worcestershire). I thought I had traced all the Hickens from that area, I can't account for her at all. Even if Hicken was her married name I can't imagine who she married. Does anyone have access to any bmd or census records that she may be on. I can't see her on the 1881. I would be most grateful for any help. Thank You Helena
