help with address

The relatives name is charles pursey aged 37 tailor born in Canterbury KENT plus lots of relatives which annoyingly are only entered on the 1881 site with intials e.l.a Pursey , M.A Pursey , R>A Pursey and F B Pursey. I thought it might be crossing point or council parish or something ?! Thanks for looking KIM

Does it mean "Civil Parish"? i.e. of the census area.

I found one today which was Ashford Road W S, Tenterden, Kent. I wondered if that meant West Side. Any other suggestions? Jan

Can anyone tell me what C.p means after an address, the address on the 1881 census reads 119 Dover ROAD C.P. , I can only think of cash point or carpark neither of which is relevant in 1881 could it be council something? The occupation was tailor thankyou KIM
