The relatives name is charles pursey aged 37 tailor born in Canterbury KENT plus lots of relatives which annoyingly are only entered on the 1881 site with intials e.l.a Pursey , M.A Pursey , R>A Pursey and F B Pursey. I thought it might be crossing point or council parish or something ?! Thanks for looking KIM |

Does it mean "Civil Parish"? i.e. of the census area. |

Can anyone tell me what C.p means after an address, the address on the 1881 census reads 119 Dover ROAD C.P. , I can only think of cash point or carpark neither of which is relevant in 1881 could it be council something? The occupation was tailor thankyou KIM |
