Received my copy yesterday. The free cd includes a full version of The Return of Owners of Land 1873. I paid £15 for this not so long ago.

Hi Diane, What is on the 'Return of Owners of Land' CD please? Is the data countrywide? Thanks, Marian

Hi It tells you who owned more than 1 acre of land, their address, extent of land and gross estimated rental value. It's for everywhere "exclusive of the Metropolis".

Hi Diane, On the 1851 census for warwickshire it shows a member of my family as a farmer with 30acres. would that be on it? Thanks Darren (Nuneaton)

Hi Darren I should think it would if they still had the land in 1873

Hi Darren If you can do it go for a subscription, works out a lot cheaper than the £4.99 a month cover price

Does it have a freebie every month?

Yes it does, there is usually at least one full product and loads of trial or shareware ones too. To name a few : Genealogical research directory 2000/2002 - Cumberland family tree- Embla family treasures - pageplus 5. I've used a couple of the trial ones namely Ages, a great little programme, you can only put 50 names in as it's a trial but it's ideal for making small "branches" to refer to. There's lots to try so hopefully you don't end up wasting money buying something that doesn't really do what you want, as I have in the past. At the moment they have a 40% off subscription offer.
