The Francis Frith Collection can be searched online www.francisfrith(.)com. They will sell you prints, but, unfortunately, they're quite expensive as they always sell them 'mounted'. Local collections have often been compiled of his postcards...try a local bookseller. Another suggestion would be to type 'Mitcham' into eBay search. I've picked up some real gems on the areas I'm interested in. A word of warning though...some of the better postcards aren't cheap, but a few of the ones I've bought have been worth it! Sue

Someone called Frith took a lot of photos of English towns in the late 19th/early 20th centuries, and these are quite often available in coffee-table style books. There also seems to be an anthology of them called Frith's Photgraphic Directory available as a book or CD from www(.)genealogysupplies(.)com. If you google on frith photographs you get lots more references. . You could also try local junkshops/philatelic fairs etc to pick up the genuine article rather than reproductions

Hi everyone, Does anyone know if there is a company that reproduces old picture post cards? I am particularly interested in Mitcham, Surrey.
