Henry Apprentice 18 Shoemaker Plymouth Devon WINTER Mary Lodger married 30 Seamstress Norfolk Aindolvestone Right if anybody wants to help a nutty lady!! here goes; Henry above (17 Shoemaker Wrington) is my g grandfather. He was married March 26, 1859 Parish church of St Phillip Bristol to an Elizabeth Foster his father is James Callaway Bartlett (from Henrys marriage cert) his mother was Elizabeth Smith m July 26, 1819 (Thanks Susie in HW :)) I wanted to see if on the 1841 there were anymore brothers and sisters to Henry everyone of the brothers and sisters are easily traceable on all the censuses (except Henry of course! The only one I can find him on is the 1851 he got married and had a daughter but didnt "do" censuses) If anybody has anymore suggetions I would be really grateful many many thanks Jan x

Janet, I thought that James could be the one born 1799 without the use of middle name. Ages are never exact on the census but he could have been 51 to 52 after the census was taken. I have to retract offer of original census as Pucklechurch does come under Gloucestershire and I only have the transcribed version for this area. Marion

I think you'll find Pucklechurch came under Gloucester at one time, if its any help. Two Bartlett families only on 1851 and only one appropriate family as follows~ BARTLETT James 50 Farm Lab Pucklechurch Hester 43 Pucklechurch Elizabeth 7 Scholar Pucklechurch Aaron 16 Errand Boy Pucklechurch Elam 3 Pucklechurch Email me if you want me to look at the original to try and get an address. Hi, I have the Bristol 1851 and was hoping to narrow it down for you using that but there are no Bartletts in St Thomas by 1851. I could send you all the Bartletts in the 1851 index (privately) for you to pick through, if that's any good. Any that look likely I could send you full details of. Gwynne

Hi Janet Pucklechurch is just up the road from me. If you manage to find them on the census and get an address, I'll be happy to see if their house is still there and take a photo for you if you like. Just let me know. Teresa (PS it has a nice remand centre now!)

Hi Janet, Neither of these is indexed so without an address it means searching through the entire counties. If you can narrow look ups down to a parish you stand more chance of a positive response Gwynne
