Try a posting on 1914-1918, The Great War Forum. There are a lot of knowlegable and helpful people on this site.

Ken, Try the commonwealth war graves commission site. It might just have some information. It sometimes gives family details and addresses too. www.cwwg.org Rosemary

Crista Thanks for the idea I tried but could not get on. However I gave it some thought and decided to marry him to one of my maiden Aunt's which got his name into my list of names and from there onto the Trying to Find Board. Not ideal ..... but if there is a will etc. Regards ken

Hi Ken, When do you think he was born and was from? You might be able to find him on the 1901 census. You need to have the name Kibble in your tree to add a Trying to Find message. Go to the 'Your Names' area and then click "View Entire Site" Crista

Hi All When sorting thru my late Aunt's photo's recently I came across the photo of a young soldier J Kibble, he was killed in 1918 and his grave is in France. My Grandmother, Aunt and Mother use to supply injured soldiers with papers, sweets, cigs etc in a Leicester hospital where I suspect he would have been at some time recovering before being sent back to France where he died. I would like to return the Photo to his relations if possible can anyone help? He was a member of the Royal Field Artillery C Bty. 78th Bde and his no 29826(info from war graves site). For some reason I can not get this onto the trying to find board. Ken Hastings, Hunua NZ
