Hello, thanks to those who replied to my last message, ive managed to find the entry of my parents marriage and my birth on the 1831 online site. ive posted a message on the trying to find board, but have had no response, as im new to this where should i look now, to try and trace my dad. His name is colin w goslin born in plymouth and married my num carolyn redwood in may 1967 at plymouth register office,which i have found the record entry numbers for, any advice please many thanks cherie holmwood (nee goslin)

Cherie. My best suggestion would be to order the marriage certificate for your parents (this will cost £7). From this you will get your paternal grandfathers name. If, as you said you suspected in your last thread, your dad has changed his name, it may be possible to trace your grandparents on the current electoral register. Zoe
