His trade on the 1891 census is a Fruit Hawker, and his age and address on his marriage certificate of 1886 is given as 26 years and living at 5 Richmond Buildings, Brighton. I have no idea if he had any siblings, neither do I know the name of his mother, only his father also named John Boon. Pam

I have been trying to find the birth or family of my great grandfather for 6 months now and still nothing. I know he was born in 1860-1861 as he appears on the 1891 and 1901 census and I also have his marriage certificate of 1886 and his death certificate of 1902. He was born in London according to both censuses and his marriage certificate shows that his father was deceased by 1886, was a coach painter by trade and also named John Boon. That is all I have managed to find out about him. I used up most of my 1837 credits looking for him with no success, the only two John Boon on FreeBDM for 1859-1862 proved not to be him as the father was not named John, and I can't find him at all on the 1881 census. I have looked for him under many permutations of his name eg: Boom, Bone, Bon, Moon, Boone, Bown etc and although I get results how would I be sure that I am on the right track? Can anyone suggest what I can do next? If I bang my head much more on the keyboard in frustration I will start to look like a waffle !!! Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks......................Pam
